Why did stan van gundy play jameer nelson over Rafer Alston during the 2009 nba finals?

Rafer was doing so well, then they benched him just because jameer wanted to play in the nba finals. He was injured all that time, and all of a sudden he wants to come back? What is that? Skip was puttin it on the lakers, I mean it looked like the Magic could have won that series, then all of a sudden nelson comes outa know and messes up the flow and rhythm of everything. On top of that Rafer was benched just when he was in fisher. That is stupid no?
