Need help citing on my outline?

I have to make an outline with roman numerals and each has AB and C. On the A I have to put evidence and quotes from criticism articles on my novel. On the B I have to use from my novel. I know how to cite a quote from my novel (Last Name page #), but how do i cite the article source? It should a short version in parenthesis but im not sure what to include. Please Help!
