Is it normal to be born without a birthmark?

My sister believes in past lives and such things, and she insists over and over again that birthmarks, depending where on your body it is, determine how you died in your past life. I don't know what to think of it, but I don't have a birthmark. She says that I probably lived and died of natural causes. Does anybody know anything abou this?
