Did Sid disrespect USA with "closer than we expected" remark?

I always have an issue with him never giving the other team the compliments deserved when he talks in post-game whatnots. It seems like other players/captains throw in credit in areas where deserved, where I never notice him do that. I don't think the "closer than expected" remark is the issue though. Neither is still not a huge issue. He's a young kid and could do a lot worse with remarks.
